For 18 years I was project manager for Interurban AG in the field of retail, gastronomy, investment and real estate. I was also consulting communities, towns and regions. Building on my practical experience I completed a CAS in process management for communities, towns and regional development. Before I was working in a town planning firm were I learned the importance of a differentiated examination of spaces especially in shopping areas and zones with high pedestrian frequencies.
An optimized matching of locations, property and its use is an essential factor to sustainable maintenance of values and competitiveness. Particularly interesting is the fact, that societal needs, market forces and interconnectedness of spaces are changing constantly and in combination with an increasing complexity of their interactions constitute a real challenge for an active design of change processes. We therefore need thorough analysis, evaluation taking into consideration various trends and scenarios, interdisciplinary work/cooperation, development perspectives and the inclusion of relevant actors in change processes.
